After a career teaching language arts, drama, and journalism, I turned to playwriting full time. Those years in the classroom reinforced my belief that stories have the power to entertain, challenge, and connect us—a belief that continues to shape the plays that I write.

 Whether intimate dramas or imaginative comedies, I'm drawn to ordinary people facing extraordinary moments. My plays explore the relationships that shape us and the choices that define us, leaving audiences not only entertained, but seeing themselves—and one another—with greater understanding.

None of that could happen without collaboration. One of the great joys of playwriting is watching a script become a living experience through the talents, insight, and imagination of actors, directors, and designers. Seeing characters who once existed only on the page connect with an audience is a privilege I never take for granted.
